Have you accidentally unplugged your Indoor + Outdoor Camera then suddenly does not have any voice prompts? Were you on the resetting of the Camera but do not hear any “System will reset”?
The steps below can help fix the issue:
Step 1. Make sure the Indoor + Outdoor Camera is powered on or plugged in correctly.
Double check the adapter, the wires or the plug that has a USB port that all of them are plugged in / connected thoroughly. Any minor mishaps may cause the Indoor + Outdoor Camera’s no voice prompt issue.
Step 2. Make sure that you are pressing and holding the reset button firmly and for more than 1 minute.
The reset button of the Indoor + Outdoor Camera can be found at the bottom base of the device. When you correctly click on the reset button, you should be able to hear a “click / tick” sound which means that you have pressed on it successfully and not just placed your finger on top of it. This should be held on for 2 minutes or longer until a voice prompt says “System will reset”.
**If the issue still persists and you have an SD Card for your Indoor + Outdoor Camera, ask a GuRoo about a “force upgrading of the firmware for IO Camera” and the GuRoo should be able to send you a file that you need to copy and paste to your SD Card to help force update the firmware of the device. OR easily, they can do it on their end too! Just provide the S/N of your device, and it's going to be a click away.
Should you not have any SD Cards where you can copy the files to, returning the Indoor + Outdoor Camera to us and letting our Engineers work on the IO Camera is another option.
