Having a hard time scanning the QR code? Cannot hear the chime during the QR Code scanning? The steps below can help resolve this issue!
Step 1. Maximize the phone’s brightness.
Since the QR Code will be coming from the phone’s screen, maximizing the brightness will help the video doorbell camera focus and scan the QR Code.
Step 2. Make sure that the video doorbell camera is free from smudges and fingerprints.
As you maximized the phone’s brightness, also make sure that the camera is free from any that can obstruct the view to scan the QR code from the phone. Make sure that it’s free from smudges or fingerprints.
Step 3. A distance of around 10 - 20 cm should be observed.
When presented with the QR Code scanning step, move the video doorbell camera or the phone back and forth until you hear a chime which is an indicator that your device was able to scan the QR Code.
NOTE: Please also be on a well-lit area which also helps the video doorbell camera illuminate the surrounding while scanning the QR Code.`
